Located at 1481 Patricks Pt Drive, a "house-warming party" for the "newly completed auto camp and resort" is described in an article published in the Humboldt Standard on May 19, 1929. According to a brochure, accomodations included "11 Modern, attractive and roomy cottages, with private showers and toilets...Gas, electricity, and wood stoves, spring water, Beautyrest mattresses...Dishes furnished if desired.". In the years that followed the lodge was a frequently captured in photo postcards produced by Frank Patterson, Casper Laws, Zan Stark and others
